My research interests lie broadly in pollinator ecology and conservation. I am interested in the community ecology of native bees, mutualisms between plants and their pollinators on a large scale, and how to apply the research to ecosystem management and habitat restoration. Specifically, I am eager to ask questions about how floral communities influence bee health.

Currently I am working on a USGS-funded project aimed at understanding the landscape level effects of pollinator habitat on honeybee health.
My previous research as an undergraduate at North Carolina State University focused on pathogen prevalence of native bees in urban environments.
My professional goal is to combine research, teaching and outreach through a career in academia.
