Mario Simón Pinilla Gallego
I am a Colombian biologist interested in the study and conservation of bees and the pollination service they provide. I graduated from the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada, in Bogotá, Colombia.
In my undergrad thesis I studied pollinators of the Andean blueberry, and I have also worked in projects about passion-fruits pollination and urban bees at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Currently, I am a masters student at Michigan State University, and I am focusing my research on understanding the nesting preferences of Osmia lignaria and O. cornifrons, as well as their soil preferences.
